The result is a technique of combining Fujifilm Crystal Archive paper and specialised binding techniques to create an entirely flat book where every page has the look and feel of 440gsm.

Cover Finish

Glossy Cover

You can select to upgrade to a Glossy Cover Finish at checkout.

The gloss produces a shiny appearance that enhances the colours and vibrancy of the cover.

Matte Cover

The default cover finish is Matte.

The matte finish softens the contrast of darker colours and produces a velvety texture.

Memories that are on full display!

Our HD Lay-Flat books are true lay flat with a seamless join in the spine. This means they lay perfectly flat when opened on any page.

The regular binding is traditionally bound and the pages sit slightly curved when the book is open. The lay-flat binding is traditionally bound with a hinge spine and sits flat when the book is open with a small gap in the spine.

Hard Cover vs Soft Cover

Hard Cover Photobook

The Hardcover is printed separately from the pages and is matte laminated (glossy finish is available at checkout for an additional fee).

Soft Cover Photobook

The Softcover is printed using the same method as the pages so the colours are a perfect match. We also add some additional support so the cover is strong and does not bend.

If you prefer the Hardcover just ensure you select this option on the checkout page.

Hardcover upgrades start at $5.00 for the small books and $10.00 for the medium and large books.

The Paper

The paper used for these books is traditional photographic paper (Fujifilm Crystal Archive).

Our paper is Archival and has a rated life of 200 years!

After we bind it the pages become 440gsm.

What’s the difference between the existing Lay-Flat and HD Lay-Flat?

Here is a picture to help you choose which option is best for you. The regular Lay Flat book is on the bottom and the HD Lay Flat book is on the top.

No Logo

For our HD Lay Flat books we offer the option to remove our logo and barcode from the cover. Simply select this option on checkout for an additional fee of just $10.00.
